The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Computer Room Operator to work in a highly
creative, dynamic and innovative team environment. You will work closely with
various groups including system (Unix & NT) administration, application
development, and network design. Our group designs, implements, and supports
procedures on different hardware platforms. You will also be involved in special projects such as designing, testing, and implementing processes that the operations staff requires.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of Unix (sun Solaris and Data General dg/ux).
* 3-5 years Computer Operations background, understanding of data centers, data
communications and utilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communications interpersonal and customer
service skills
* Flexibility to work varying coverage hours including weekends and nights
* Knowledge of Windows NT 2000, Word and Excel a plus.
* Ability to write in PERK would be an advantage.
