Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Services or related field. Minimum of four (4) years experience in a related technology field. Demonstrated experience in programming, design and implementation of complex technical systems and environments. General understanding of network/server connectivity, security issues, architecture, policy and practice in large complex enterprises. Experience with and knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, .Net, Java, MUMPS, Delphi). DBA experience with SQL and CACHE. Prior experience with open source VistA, Netsmart Technologies Applications or similar Electronic Medical Record products preferred. Experience with HL7 interfaces and end-user training a plus. Ability to function in a team environment required. Ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others. Additional related professional experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the Programmer/Analyst II position is to perform analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs to solve medium to complex business problems in multiple database and web environments. Makes recommendations toward the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Applies conversions and enhancements to business systems. Participates in the development of detailed programming/
