KEY EXPERIENCE:
The Group provides each major business in CLIENT with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.
An opportunity exists for a motivated Developer to join our dynamic team within the CLIENT in Philadelphia. The team is engaged in integrating systems from the acquisition of CLIENT into the existing CLIENT platform.
Key responsibilities include:
• Take over management and development of the Master Applications Inventory application (currently developed in Excel VB). This is a complex Excel VB application, which is evolving rapidly, and needs a strong VB developer to maintain.
• Working with the Director of Global Architecture, develop and implement a roadmap for migrating the application to a more robust and effective platform (ie web-based user interface; SQL server DB, reporting and analytics functionality to be defined).
• Oversee the program of change to the Inventory master. Currently there are approx 30 staff contributing changes, and this is likely to grow substantially in the future
• Support regular update / download process of Application Profiles and other functions provided in the inventory spreadsheet.
• Document Toolkit for use in broader CLIENT M&A activity
• In addition, depending on the skillset of the individual, there are likely to be a number of other development projects associated with the migration program that will require developer support.
Key technical skills required include the following:
Excel VB
MS SQL
Java, Javascript, J2EE design experience, Client and Server side experience
.Net
Has experience documenting system design and applications
Is capable of working towards goals under minimal supervision
Essential to the role are:
Excellent development and technical skills
Strong written communication skills
