The Software Engineer will play a key role in the development and enhancement of the Haymarket Media, Inc. online web presence. Haymarket Media is the US Division of Haymarket, a Global Media company. Our US division has a portfolio of 15+ websites across the Media, Medical and Automotive spaces. This person will work on enhancing our existing Content Management System (CMS) and website platform. The platform is Microsoft .NET (C#), however we also use a number of open source technologies such as SOLR search and nHibernate.
Responsibilities:
• Implement functionality to existing application
• Should be able to turn in well tested and functional code
• Create analysis, design, and test documents
• Write well formatted html and documented code
Skills - Required:
• ASP .Net 3.5
• C# 3.0
• SQL Server 2005
• IIS 6
• JQuery and Ajax
• OO development best practices
• XML/APIs/REST
Profile:
• B.S in Computer Science or related experience
• min of 4 years experience with Web development using Microsoft technologies
• Strong technology background and interest
• Organized, self-motivated, independent worker needing limited managerial oversight
• Team player who can communicate clearly and thoroughly
• Experienced in various stages of Software Development Life Cycle(but we’re Agile!)
