Rider University's Office of Information Technology seeks a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to plan, design and analyze user requests and requirements to support the maintenance, development and implementation of administrative and web applications and data query/reporting analysis. Additional responsibilities include: developing and maintaining a knowledge base of business workflow as they relate to administrative, web and LAN applications; providing technical support, training and assistance to users and OIT staff in the performance of their daily activities; and assisting senior management in the collection of technology requirements for new or upgraded services. The successful candidate must also keep senior management abreast of the significant issues that could negatively or positively impact the University in a timely manner and serves as an instrument in accomplishing the University's strategic plans.
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or any combination of related education and experience and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position preferably in education. Additional requirements include: formal hands-on experience with data query and reporting, support of administrative and web applications required or any equivalent combination of experience, training and or education; working knowledge of enterprise and web-based systems used specifically in higher education, Sungard Banner, BDMS, ODS/Cognos, Resource25, Raiser's Edge preferred; strong knowledge of data query and reporting; and experience with SQL, Uniquery and Crystal Reports preferred.
