Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
Applicant will be looked upon as a subject matter expert in the T/R Module and MMIC design domain for military electronics applications. Specific roles will include lead design responsibility on numerous new product development efforts and future business pursuits. Applicant will be expected to drive long-term technology roadmapping and help to develop investment plans in order to align development funding with long-range business goals Applicant must understand and be able to apply MS2 design processes to their work and recommend opportunities for process improvements.
Minimum 12 years experience and proven superior performance in specification, design and testing of T/R Modules and Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs).
Ability to use simulation tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, SysCalc and Sonnet, and design into multiple foundries/processes .
Experience supporting suppliers on new technology developments related to circuits and systems for radar applications
Experience with design and layout in a variety of MMIC substrate materials including GaAs, GaN and organic and ceramic Module materials.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
Proven ability to effectively prepare and present program status to senior technical, financial management personnel and the customer.
Ability to plan, budget and manage T/R Module and MMIC development efforts including support of new business proposals, developing schedules and budget, tracking progress and identifying personnel and equipment needs. Candidate must also be capable of presenting highly technical information to customer communities in a clear, concise format that can be easily understood even by those without expertise in the T/R Module and MMIC domain.
Ability to mentor junior design engineers in design techniques and best practices in order to develop their skills in designing T/R Modules and MMICs.
Education & Training Required:
BSEE/MSEE; PhD Preferred Security Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret Clearance is required
General Requirements:
Should have experience designing Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) in GaAs and GaN technologies. Someone who has experience designing components of Radar and EW systems, like Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, Phase Shifters, Switches, and Attenuators. Wireless or cell phone applications are not the skill sets needed. Designing MMICs in applications is needed. |
