[itroundtable] LEAD: PHP Devel - NYC - F/T

Our fashion e-commerce, Manhattan based client is looking for a skilled junior PHP developer on a full time basis. This position involves being a part of the design process, troubleshooting existing issues, implementing new features and extending core functionality of other technologies and platforms, like Magento and WordPress. You'll be working along with visual designers, interactive designers and other software engineers.

Required

1-3 years experience working with PHP5.x and MySQL
1+ years experience with MVC frameworks and CMS platforms (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, Symfony, Zend, etc)
Good understanding of object oriented programming concepts
Comfortable developing and debugging applications in a Unix/Linux environment
Experience with AJAX techniques using modern JavaScript libraries
Knowledge of web application security considerations
Experience with source control software
Comfortable documenting code
Familiarity of usability and W3C AAA accessibility standards
Comfortable working closely with a UX/IA team
Basic Knowledge of SEO best practices
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be available to work on site.

Preferred

Experience with the Magento Platform
Capable of debugging a web application from hardware to client browser
Familiar with UML and ERD
Experience with unit testing
Interactive web agency experience
