USER EXPEREINCE LEAD Location: NYC Travel: Required Salary: Commensurate with experience Position Overview o Lead and mentor user experience project teams of one to several user experience designers o Assist in overall project management, e.g., client communication and estimating resource needs/schedules o Work closely with client teams to uncover business needs, develop design strategies, present and defend the design team's work, and build consensus o Participate as a leader within an interdisciplinary team that includes user experience designers, project managers, business strategists, and technical leadership o Plan, coordinate and conduct user research, contextual and ethnographic studies, participatory design and usability testing o Conceptualize and design user interfaces and information architecture using participatory design o Produce personas, scenarios, process flows, annotated wireframes, design prototypes, and functional design specifications for complex transactional web applications and portals o Produce scalable taxonomies and metadata tagging for enterprise content management systems Work closely with development teams to QA development and implementation o Assist in business development o Assist in evangelization of Company, e.g., publishing thought leadership, presenting at conferences, etc. Required Experience o At least eight years of user experience design experience o Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications o Excellent communication and organization skills - must be able to function as a thought leader as well as an individual contributor o Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Visio, InDesign, and Dreamweaver o Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as CMS, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and CSS Strongly Desired Experience: o Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related design or behavioral science discipline o Experience with Web 2.0 and rich internet concepts and delivery methodologies
