Thanks  Responsibilities:   Position:   Enhance existing programs to support specific customer needs, system upgrades and application development initiatives;  A major financial services firm is seeking an Application Support Specialist.   Responsibilities:   Enhance existing programs to support specific customer needs, system upgrades and application development initiatives: Communicate directly with customers, and other programmers on the team as well as outside system vendors; Manage the movement of coding changes and releases through the testing regions, run Unit Testing and Model Office cycles and install changes into production; Code programs and queries to satisfy audits and various customer requests for quick turnaround of information; Act as mentor and trainer during transition from legacy mainframe systems to web based applications.   Requirements:   Minimum 3 years COBOL programming a MUST 2 years experience developing programs in a Client/Server environment utilizing stored procedures. 2 years experience developing in VB.NET and ASP.NET Experience developing applications using MS SQ; XML; PVCS; Business Objects Willing to provide on-call support during off hours.
