My client has an excellent opportunity for an SAP Team Member – Order to Cash (SD – IT Solution Architect) located in our Princeton, NJ • The SAP SD Lead is responsible for design, implementation and execution of technical project plans for SAP Systems. • Ensure SAP service levels are met, and project objectives are accomplished within budget and deadline. • Ensuring common configuration across business units for SAP. • Support business implementations by sharing best practice project management and configuration skills. • Responsiveness to user requirements, problem resolution, design development and process modeling. • Providing functional/configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the SD module of SAP to meet business requirements. • Understanding new business strategies, providing recommendations for automated solutions to support new strategies and implement the proposed solutions, with predetermined resources, budgets and timelines. • Work within Information Systems and with other business groups to prioritize and implement systems solutions, reporting systems and improving business processes. • Technical expert in identification, design, configuration, testing and debugging of the SD modules. • Work with business areas to understand problems and requirements with the system and recommends and develops specs to resolve them. • Prepare detailed functional specs for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms. • Identify, plan/build business cases for SAP implementation projects in the SD areas. • Work to implement solutions, i.e. Blueprint, configuration, testing, training and post-implement support across all sub-modules in SD. • Identify and resolve project-related issues. Analyze business processes and recommend SAP SD best practices and provide concept/detailed designs. • Follow design work and integration testing procedures, change control procedures, uses standards, procedures and practices in performing required work. • Oversee integration testing to insure new functionality and enhancements don't adversely affect existing functionality. • Understand and apply SAP methodologies and procedures. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree • 8+ years experience in IT/Development. • Experience with project lifecycle methodologies. • Solid project management skills and team-oriented interpersonal skills. • Good customer service skills. • Experience working with 3rd party integrators. • 5+ years experience in SAP SD configuration/support. • SAP implementation experience as a functional team lead. • At least 2+ full lifecycle implementations. • Experienced with Shipping and Transportation either within SAP or interfacing to external systems. • Interfacing with customers (EDI order entry, shipping notifications). • Ability to troubleshoot interfaces between SAP and external applications. • Knowledge of the SAP workbench and IDOC-processing. • Ability to lead support functions and new SAP upgrades. • Understand and apply global data management concepts. • Identify and resolve problems and provide support. • Preferred qualifications include: • Knowledge of SAP Business Connector or XI. • Knowledge of RFC and ALE technology. • Consumer Package Goods industry experience. • Knowledge of SAP BW with respect to sales reporting. • Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems. • Basic knowledge of SAP MM functionality. • Basic knowledge of supply chain planning and transportation management systems. • Experience with ECC 5.0 or greater.
