Job Description An Electronic Broker Dealer located in Jersey City is looking for a Systems Management Engineer.
Responsibilities
Maintain, upgrade and administer HP OpenView operation management on Linux for a global enterprise environment.
Maintain and deploy monitoring templates/policies to various platforms (Windows, Linux and VMS).
Configure various SPLs for example Oracle database and SAN hardware.
Install, configure and troubleshoot OVO/OM agents in a global enterprise managed nodes environment.
Backup and restore OVO/OM management server configuration.
Build custom monitoring scripts as per business need using batch, shell or Perl scripts work with developments And QA to understand their monitoring requirements.
Work with Operations to provide them with descriptive troubleshooting procedures.
Create build and support documents.
Maintain OVO/OM management server integration with NNM and OVPI
Willing to learn new technology tools and applications
Flexibility for off hours on call support and some weekend scheduled changes.
Follow change management procedures to change implementation.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
At least 5 years experience managing and supporting HP OpenView Operations Management server and Network Node manager on Linux/Unix platform.
Must have at least 5 years experience on deploy standard and custom monitoring templates/notices.
Create new templates conditions as needed.
Knowledge of HP IT systems management tools OVPI, NNM. Service desk, Service Manager
Knowledge of using Business Objects to create custom reports from various tools and data.
Linux and Windows systems administration tasks.
Experience on batch, shell and Perl scripting.
Knowledge of using HP Connect-IT for application integrations
Basic knowledge of oracle DBA tasks
General understanding of system hardware and network technology.
General understanding of ITIL best practice.
Bachelor Degree of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent certificate or experience.
Salary Range This is a full time position paying up to 125k.
