New York Hedge Fund Seeks Senior Software Developer
Global hedge fund is looking for senior level developer to work on mid
and back office systems at
its New York office.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of development experience in investment / securities
industry, 2 years or
more must be in hedge fund or asset management.
* Strong technical and development skills
o .Net Framework, Visual Studio, C# programming
o Object oriented development experience
o SQL Server development for data query and update
o Report development using SQL Server reporting service
* Strong project management skills
o Demonstrated success in building applications and working with 3rd
party to
implementing vendor systems
o Full lifecycle development including requirement, architecture,
implementation,
testing, and release to production / DR environments.
* Hands on development experience related to reconciliation systems,
reporting systems,
market data and reference data systems.
* Knowledge of system integration practices involving positions,
transactions, security
master, real time and batch processing, etc.
* Broad financial instrument knowledge, including Equities, Options,
Futures, FX, Fixed
Income, Exchange and OTC Traded Derivatives, etc.
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Pluses:
* Experience with Advent Geneva, in particular Worked with Geneva RSL
and understands
Geneva object structure
* Experience with Electra STaARS system
* Other Application System Experience (such as Collateral Management,
Performance
Measurement, Risk, Trading or Order Management System, etc.)
