Job Description A major Insurance Company with an office in Morristown, New Jersey is looking for a Business Continuity Project Manager. The Business Continuity Consultant is responsible for designing and maintaining business continuity plans, processes, procedures And recovery plans. This includes providing guidance to the Business and AD communities regarding appropriate security controls And Compliance with Industry best practices, continuity preparedness, and the Firm's policies, standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the planning and design of business continuity policies and procedures which provide a foundation for business Resumption in the event of an outage.
Maintains knowledge of changing technologies and provides recommendations for adaption of new technologies or policies Appropriate for business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
Provide disaster recovery leadership as it relates to systems and application theory.
Stay abreast of existing and proposed State and Federal legislation and regulation regarding business continuity. Establish and evaluates disaster recovery programs and business continuity plans across all platforms (mainframe, Client/server. )
Coordinates and monitors simulation testing.
Perform Risk Assessment of Service Provider Arrangement relative to disaster recovery capabilities.
Informs and directs IT areas on the firm's approved recovery practices.
Recommends strategies that will enable systems and applications to be recovered within the defined recovery objectives.
Coordinates recovery exercises including regularly scheduled application / business continuity testing.
Establishes and communicates annual testing schedule.
Coordinates resources to facilitate testing exercises.
Documents test results identifying exposures and suggested strategies to correct exposures.

Salary Range This is a temporary position which will pay up to $55 an hour Corp to Corp and less for W-2.
