Job Description A major Public Utility firm located in Newark, New Jersey is looking for a Systems Analyst. The right candidate Does not have to be a super heavy IT type but must know their way around a computer/DB/Scripts/Inquiries, etc.
Responsibilities:
The Program Analyst – Energy Efficiency is responsible for developing and maintaining the data and database systems Used to track and report energy efficiency and demand response programs.
Will be working with Program Managers, develops program process and workflow and configures the workflow in the Program tracking system.
Extracts data from original sources (Excel, databases, SAP), validates and merges the data and uploads clean data into Tracking system.
Maintains interfaces with SAP to extract customer information, billing histories, etc.
Develops customer analyses, computer tools, algorithms and models as needed to provide financial oversight of program delivery.
Provides tracking system administration including user management, application management, managing application updates, Deployments, etc.
Develops standard and custom reports for internal management and external regulators.
Working with Program Managers, develops and creates software tools to be used by vendors and contractors.
Skills Required Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline or equivalent education, training and experience.
Exemplary analytical skills and knowledge of data collection and analysis methodologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Excel and VBA.
Demonstrated proficiency in database systems including MS Access and Oracle.
The ability to write scripts and manipulate database tables is a requirement
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Experience in utilities and a working knowledge of energy efficiency is a plus.
Strong leadership and project management skills and the ability to resolve contentious problems under pressure While exercising tact and sound judgment.
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
Salary Range This is a temporary position which will pay up to $50 an hour only W-2.
