This position is for a seasoned Database Manager with extensive experience in the management of Oracle DBMS residing on SUN Solaris platforms. The DBA Manager must be self-motivating with a positive attitude and able to work with application and integration teams on tactical and strategic projects. The application uses Oracle residing on a SUN/Solaris platform. Responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the standard operating procedures for the Database team. Manage database installations and upgrades on Oracle running on SUN Solaris and AIX. Management of day to day operations including issue resolution, resource utilization and task schedule management. Will provide leadership to the DBA team to best meet the commitments and the project target dates. Support backup, recovery, performance and tuning, problem determination and resolution.
