My direct client, a financial company has an immediate need for a Sr. Oracle DBA. Duration: 6+ months Location: Jersey City, NJ Salary: Open on W2 Start Date: ASAP Job profile for Oracle DBA Position: - Demonstrable experience of managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment
- Solid Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC experience including build, general administration, troubleshooting (Break/Fix) and L3 performance tuning skills
- Experience in Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration
- Skilled in Oracle ASM administration
- Solid infrastructure knowledge including high-availability solutions such as Oracle DataGuard, Disk replication technologies (SRDF) , VERITAS clustering
- Excellent SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills
- Expertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/import.
- Experience in Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate replication a plus
- Expertise in database upgrades to 11G
- Experience in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
- Experience on Solaris, Linux and AIX OS including strong shell scripting skills.
- Competent in Change/Release Management ( ITIL based ? preferably ITIL Foundation Certified)
- Willingness to work in a 24 * 7 Global support model
- Team player with excellent communication skills
