Value Line, the New York-based independent investment research firm, is seeking a savvy Digital Project Manager to be part of its transition from traditional publishing to a digital model.
The Digital Project Manager's primary function is hands on day to day management of our retail investor website and infusion of digital savvy knowledge to keep the site fresh, engaging and competitive, and management of our developing mobile presence. You will proactively monitor and enhance the site on a daily basis, and establish and measure key performance indicators and provide analytics reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Actively monitor site Performance
• Ensure that content is kept fresh and up to date and suggest content that would improve the user experience
• Identify and manage implementation of weekly enhancements
• Monitor and assess usability, and identify enhancements to promote a more engaging user experience.
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Social media ("discovery optimization")
• Manage design, deployment, and quality assurance (QA) for enhancements and produce business requirements and project documentation
• Create and own the project plan, and ensure that schedules and deliverables are achieved.
• Establish key performance indicators, assess and report web site analytics.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive sites, web technologies and best practices.
• Maintain knowledge of the full software development cycle process.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and 5-7+ years of digital, web or mobile project or product management experience in the financial or media space.
• Proven project management skills
• Understanding of customer-focused design and usability principles
• Knowledge of search engine optimization and experience with social media tools and platforms
• Strong strategic, analytical and problem solving skills
• Exemplary verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills
• Excellent relationship building skills and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Experience with web and mobile technologies and third party applications and platforms
• Knowledge of web development processes and experience working through the full software development lifecycle
• Proficiency with MS Office suite
• Experience in an agile development environment a plus
