VB6/ASP Developer Job Description - BROOKLYN, NY
We are seeking someone to join our dynamic team of developers that maintains and enhances our existing applications written in Classic ASP, VB6 and SQL 2000. This individual will also assist in the migration of our applications and website to SQL Server 2008 and Java. This is a full time position with the opportunity for growth in a number of different directions, depending on the best fit. Training will be offered where necessary.
Relevant Work Experience: 4+Years

Job Status: Full Time
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who meets the following requirements:
A. 4+ years of experience in VB 6 & ASP
B. Extensive knowledge of Transact SQL utilizing SQL Server 2000 and up.
C. Ability to create/maintain DTS packages.
D. Knowledge of Visual Source Safe
E. Ability to reverse engineer existing programs
F. Full project lifecycle development including analysis and design
G. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
H. Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with users.
I. Ability to write and maintain proper program documentation
J. Ability to work effectively independently and/or as part of a team.
K. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
L. Experience in financial sector a plus
M. Java knowledge a plus
