Position Responsibilities - Summary
My client is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join its team who wants
to:
· Be part of an important mission and do work that matters
· Work on small teams with visibility and the chance to advance
within a growing organization
· Enjoy working in a professional, but informal office environment
· Gain broad pharmaceutical industry knowledge
· Be at the leading edge of development for the evolving health care
market
Utilize extensive knowledge and experience with Hyperion Financial
Management (HFM), Financial Data Management (FDM), ESSbase, and Hyperion
Planning.
Provide subject matter expertise in both leading business practices and
application expertise to assist in the designing, developing, and deployment
of the Hyperion HFM, FDM, Planning and/ or Hyperion ESSbase applications.
Experience with GL package software, software maintenance & migration.
Development and integration with other sub-systems as required (see tool set
below).
Work closely with IT and business to provide production support to ensure
applications setup and configuration.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Experience with migration packages to Hyperion (migrating to the
Netezza data warehouse), applying patches.
· User Acceptance Testing of new functionality including patches,
maintenance releases, system upgrades and other Oracle/Hyperion product
support
· SOX compliance as it applies to Hyperion application security and
roles.
· Hyperion Disaster Recovery & backup.
· SmartView, Essbase Administrator, FDM Workbench, Hyperion
Financial Reporting
· Architect and design software solutions and supporting data
schemas
· Develop detailed specifications for computer systems,
applications, programs, and test data based on user requirements.
· Develop and maintain program and system documentation.
· Instruct others in the use of programs and procedures.
· Develop test data and tests programs using proper debugging
methodologies and tools.
· Prepare program diagrams using structured design and code program
logic using structured coding concepts
· Analyze errors using proper debugging methods and tools
· Conduct project meetings
· Work closely with the Finance department in the migration of
financial systems from Lawson to Peachtree.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration,
or Computer Science.
· 3+ years' experience in the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM),
Financial Data Management (FDM), Essbase, Hyperion Planning.
· 3+ years' experience working with business/accounting/financial
applications including experience migrating from Lawson to Peachtree
conversion (or equivalent).
Experience with the majority of the following:
· Architecture: Web based applications, web services, windows
applications, Client/Server, Multi-Tier, and COM/DCOM.
· Web: IIS, ASP, ASP.Net, JSP, Java Script
· Strong plus – Database: Oracle, MS SQL Server, stored procedures,
functions, triggers, and cursors
· Development Tools: Visual Studio .Net
· End User Tools: MS Office and particularly EXCEL, PowerPivot or
other BI tool experiences a strong plus.
· Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
