Global specialty chemical company has an opening for a Process Engineer in the facility located near Baton Rouge, LA. The role is responsible for process improvement, troubleshooting, and lead work on improving yields and energy consumption. This position is a stepping stone for positions with greater responsibilities.
Relocation is available for this opportunity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Practiced in engineering principles to solve plant challenges and identify improvement opportunities
- Minimum of 3 years experience in organic chemical processing
- Knowledge of reaction, distillation, extraction and solids handling
- Dedicated to Process Safety Management and experienced with health, safety and environmental practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with issues at all levels
- Management skills to identify opportunities, prioritize, and plan
