Responsible for the globalmaterials management activities…negotiations, sourcing, analysis of trends& pricing, forecasting, budgeting, relationships with suppliers. Interface with sales, marketing, technology, manufacturingfacilities and International purchasing organization. Reports to theDirector of Purchasing. Approximately 20% travel,International included.Requirements
- Bachelors in Chemistry, ChemE or related technical field, MBA desirable
- 5--7 years' experience in procurement within the chemical industry
- Chinese or Spanish language skills a big plus
- CPM, preferred
- Three years international procurement, far east procurement a big plus
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong analytical skills
