The Vice President of Finance is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
Reports to: Global Controller
Location: NY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draw on knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations to prepare the Company's external financial statements and disclosures
Manage finance functions including the monthly close, reporting, and financial planning and analyses for ITG's technology group
Partner with business managers to ensure that business goals are reached, accurately forecasted, analyze resource allocation and utilization versus budget
Work with staff to ensure that software development is capitalized in accordance with ASC 985-20 and ASC 350-40 and detailed accounting support for capitalized software development projects is maintained.
Responsible for share-based compensation expense and APIC Pool calculations in accordance with ASC 718
Vendor management responsibilities
Preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting schedules
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
7-10 years experience
Strong Understanding of accounting theory
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
Attention to detail and accuracy
Planning and organizing
Prior management experience a plus
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with JD Edwards and/or HFM a plus

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a VMWare Engineer to be responsible for designing and implementing server solutions.
This is a 5-month contract position in Cheshire, CT.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience with server and operating system technologies (IBM / HP / Dell / Cisco UCS), including architecture and design.
* Hands on experience with the VMware suit of virtualization tools, including vCOps, Vsphere replication, and Site Recover Manager
* VMWare certification: Minimum of VCP5; VCAP Preferred
* Fundamental knowledge of Cloud including Infrastructure as a Service, public and private cloud solutions.
* Understanding of configuring, troubleshooting, and administering IT networking and SAN storage solutions
* Ability to administer and/or deploy Linux and Windows machines
* Knowledge and experience with converged infrastructure; Data Center/Server Operational Components
* ITIL concepts for Help Desk, Incident, and Problem Management; Asset Management
* Infrastructure capacity planning and management; Performance tuning of servers and operating systems; implementing disaster recovery processes and procedures.
* Maintaining problem tracking and resolution at a detailed level for service requests.
* Experience in project management, detailed technical planning and financial management.
