Our client, a Fortune 500 firm in Rahway, NJ, is seeking a Project Manager with pharmaceutical experience for a 1-year contract.
The candidate is responsible for creating and maintaining integrated project plans for program activities including, but not limited to, design, build, testing, and cutover. This entails working with task owners to create resource loaded plans, working with resource owners to identify and resolve capacity issues, facilitation of issue and risk management, critical path analysis, meeting facilitation, and progress reporting.
The candidate must deliver in accordance with the program work plan and methodology, and to that end, must be comfortable controlling the timely delivery of program deliverables. The candidate works very closely with one or more of the project work streams and/or specialized workstreams and needs to perform in a matrixed role.
Primary Activities Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
 Facilitate creation of detailed resource loaded Master Program and Project Schedule
 Maintenance of detailed resource loaded Master Program and Project Schedule 
  Gather, validate and update scheduling information from multiple sources and tracking mechanisms
 Monitor deliverable progress and escalate schedule risks including resource capacity and delivery progress issues
 Facilitate regular reviews of team performance against plan and provide appropriate feedback 
  Ensure risks and issues are quickly addressed, documented and resolved
 Prepare project progress reports for the Global PMO, team leads and other key stakeholders
 Run standard reports for schedule tracking and resource leveling on a weekly basis.
  Conduct critical path analysis
job Requirements
Skills (include specific skill levels required to apply Leadership Principles)
 Bachelors degree required, and a minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience
 Working knowledge of project planning, management, and control methods
  Advanced proficiency with MS-Project or comparable project management software
 Proven ability to effectively build, lead and manage team in a highly matrixed environment
 Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills
  Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
 Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry and validated software environments desired
