POSITION TITLE: Tester Software

LOCATION: New York City, New York

COMPENSATION: $100K - $130K Base + Bonus

Our client is a world leader in Business Process Outsourcing.

Description:

· The software test team member position will develop and execute manual test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality of various applications.

· This position requires analysis and understanding of requirements and design documents in order to create the manual test cases.

· These manual tests will be utilized to support project: Functional, System, Regression and potentially User Acceptance Testing.

· Also, during test execution, analysis of actual results against expected results (UI, DB, Reports, files), and documenting defects where appropriate will be expected.

· This role will work closely with business analysts and developers for requirement analysis and understanding of the applications' functionality.

Required Skills:

3-5 years software testing experience.
2-3 years hands-on SQL experience for efficiently retrieving data.

· Experience testing skills, including development and execution of manual test cases and test scripts.

· Great analysis skills to review use cases and other specification documents for identification, collection and creation of test data and test documentation.

Ability to provide time estimates and meet schedules for testing efforts.

· Helps define quality assurance processes and checkpoints for production.

Assists in the planning, creation and control of the test environment(s).
Performs regression and performance testing as requested.
Experience in using defect tracking tools.
Flexibility to test multiple applications as needed.
Comfortable in working in a high-energy environment to meet demanding schedules and deadlines.
Adapts easily to the rapidly changing requirements of a growing organization.
Collaborates well with a wide variety of personalities and diverse groups across locations.

Education and Preferred Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related education.

· Expertise with performance testing and automated testing tools.

· Experience with Microsoft TFS.

· Experience with .NET applications.
