ASSISTANTDIRECTOR SENIORCITIZEN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
The positionof Assistant Director of Senior Citizen Transportation Services includes (butis not limited to) the following responsibilities:
• Assist Program Director with coordinationand management of the overall operation and administration of the JCCGCItransportation program and services (which includes: Transportation, Escort,and other special projects)
• Scheduling, monitoring and review of alltrips; monitoring monthly transportation budget and establish dailyquotas to avoid under/over-expenditure; preparation of all dailytransportation logs; preparation of all daily trip schedules andforms; arranging all pick-up and return trips; responsible that clientsdo indeed reach their destination and are returned home; working closelywith car and bus companies to assure smooth operation, proper serviceprovision, compliance with our contracts, and clients satisfaction; resolvingany and all difficulties between clients/agency and car and buscompanies; responsible for accuracy and accountability; contractcompliance with all public and private sources of support for this multi-fundedprogram; interact with staff of governmental and private sector fundingsources monitoring and auditing programs
• Review of trips assigned to each fundingsource to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and track monthlyexpenditures and service levels and prepare programmatic, fiscal reports andpresentations for multiple funding sources.
• Timely review of itemized car/bus servicevendor billing and constant monitoring of data files and funding sourceexpenditures to ensure accurate data integrity and appropriate costallocations.
• Consistent review of all programprocedures to implement better efficiency and a productive work environment.
• Conduct periodic competitive biddingprocesses for car/bus service companies to assure best processes and service.
• Analyze, extract, clean and maintain datafiles. Compare spreadsheets and run necessary reports and statistics.
• Assure that contractually requiredservice levels for Transportation services are maintained. This will requireactive outreach and interaction and cooperation with community-based organizationsand social service agencies, senior citizen centers, senior citizen housingdevelopments and community offices of elected public officials in outreachefforts to identify senior citizen transportation clients.
• Establish excellent working relationshipwith local elected public officials and their staff, local Community Boardmembers, officials of funding sources and the directors of all the socialservice providers and senior citizen housing developments in our service area
• Assist with supervision, monitoring ofperformance and time records of staff, WEP participants and volunteers assignedto transportation program.
• Enrollment/intake/registration/assessmentand reassessment of all transportation clients in accordance with internal andfunding source requirements and standards.
• Maintenance of accurate client filescomplete with all required materials on a timely basis.
• Maintenance of accurate daily/monthlyprogram statistics based in computerized data base; preparation of requiredstatistical reports.
• Maintenance of required accuratedocumentation of all program/service statistics.
• Preparation of service schedules for allprogram activities
• Collect and record participantcontributions where required by funding source.
• Whenever no other aides or volunteersavailable, meet group trips to register clients and obtain signatures on MISforms, assure all clients sign Transportation Service Trip Certification Form(TSTCF) and, when necessary, accompany trip.
• Represent agency in community, fundingsource and other related meetings and activities as needed.
• Assist with community organizationactivities.
• Assist in recruitment of volunteers toassist with client recruitment, registration and Escort activities.
