If you're a new hire in a workplace that's been hit by layoffs and budget
cutbacks in the past few years, you could very likely face a difficult time
fitting in and becoming productive, according to an article in *The Wall

about their jobs and resentful of the extra workload they've had to take on,
making them wary of newcomers.
But despite such challenges at a demoralized workplace, a new hire at a
company rebuilding staff can still find ways to cope without being brought
down by others. According to the article, here is some guidance to consider

Networking for military jobs
Posted by: "Abby Kohut" abbykohut@yahoo.com abbykohut
Sat Jul 10, 2010 8:41 pm (PDT)
Happy weekend everyone!
On my Career Wake Up Call last week, I was asked a question about military jobs
from a veteran.
"As a veteran, I have applied for two jobs on the U.S. Navy's Civilian HR
website. Rather than languish in such a vast database, how do I identify
civilian hiring authority at the naval bases I've selected? Would current
security restrictions make this difficult?"
If you know the answer to this question, please share it directly with my friend
Drew McQuade at dpmcquade@verizon.net
Thanks!
