Topic: Difficult Questions and How to Prepare for Your Interview
You can conduct a stellar job search. You can either write or have a
professional craft a killer resume, portfolio, website, etc. When it comes
down to that face-to-face interview, it's all about you and how well you
present yourself. This is where the winner and the "wanna-be" are
determined. To get past a few stumbling blocks, the job candidate must
first understand the most professional interviewers are more interested in
eliminating you than hiring you. They are looking for something wrong!
They want to document your faults and move on to their idea of near perfect.
This can be daunting if there are any areas in your past that are
questionable. Learn the selection process that gets you to that interview
and learn how to make any employer want...and even need to hire you; even
though you may not have the perfect background.
Pat Bailey has over twenty-five years of experience helping job seekers
overcome hiring obstacles to reach successful goals. She has worked for
both business and industry, and transitioned to non-profit enterprises using
the techniques she will share with you.
Pat is a CT Licensed Professional Counselor, and Board Certified with the
American Counseling Association. She has earned a Master's Degree from WCSU
in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior. Post
Graduate studies include: Certifications from the Ellis Institue of
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, National Veteran's Training Institute, Myers
Briggs Personality, CPRW-Resume and numerous aptitude and testing
instruments. She has developed and presented workshops through the State of
CT Labor Department targeted at Job Search, Interviewing, Networking, Career
Change, Negotiation and Conflict Skills. Pat facilitated a Job Search
