Position Summary:
As a Senior Engineer, you will be developing the next generation of
Salesforce.com tools for the firm. You will be working with a group of
world-class engineers, architects and product managers to build the
breakthrough features Salesforce.com users will love, adopt and use while
keeping the application stable and scalable. You have a solid understanding
of the MVC pattern, an obsession with commenting your code, a natural
tendency to self-test your code before calling it done and a knack for
building quality user experience. You'll be a part of a modern, lean,
self-governing engineering team where you have the ability to switch hats
between designing new capabilities, coding features, testing for quality and
performance, and writing release management automation.
Responsibilities:
* Developing, deploying and maintaining new functionality on the
firm's Salesforce.com platform
* Providing technical oversight and design guidance for a team of
software engineers
* Define processes and best practices for the engineering team
* Facilitate the Scrum process of planning, daily stand-ups,
reviews, and retrospectives
* Building integration components to transition data from local
systems and cloud based systems
* Supporting the development team with Java application development
and maintenance as required
* Identify potential new technical solutions and or approaches for
the current Salesforce.com platform
Required Skills and Competencies:
* 7+ yrs. experience programming with Java, C# or C++
* 2 + yrs. experience developing applications on Force.com (Apex
and Visualforce)
* Strong working knowledge of Apex, Visual Force, Salesforce APIs,
SOQL and the Force.com platform
* Deep understanding of salesforce platform multi tenancy, identity
management, permissioning and governors
* Extensive understanding of OO design and programming, and MVC
* Experience with JS, CSS, HTML, any form of SQL, any common Ajax
toolkit, web authentication technologies
* Experience with software repository tools like SVN, TFS, GitHub
etc.
* Experience working with an IDE like Eclipse
* Understanding of developing and packaging apps on the Salesforce
platform
* Experience with agile development methodology
* Excellent communication skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science
Preferred experience:
* Experience with other cloud technologies, including Amazon
(SQS/SNS, S3 storage)
* Experience with Active MQ or other messaging technologies
* industry domain experience in Financial Services
* Salesforce Advanced Developer or Architect Certification
Keys to this Position:
1) 10+ years of development experience - This resource needs to have a
strong application development background.
2) 4+ years of Java development experience required.
3) 2+ years of Salesforce development experience. Needs to have
customization experience working with Apex and Visualforce. Ideally this
person will have gone through 2 Salesforce implementations
4) Must be Salesforce 501 certified or higher or at least working towards
their 501 certification. 401 certified is not at the level that we are
looking for.
5) Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Position Responsibilities - Summary
As a member of the Firm Wide Infrastructure Program Management Team, this
individual will be responsible for leading large-scale, enterprise wide
technology projects from inception to delivery. This role requires
demonstrated results and leadership managing significant projects involving
cross-functional teams, and influencing within a matrixed organization using
both internal and consulting resources.
This unique role offers the individual an opportunity to exercise interests
in engineering, analysis, and delivery management in high value, high

and outcomes, and develop plans and budgets which are managed throughout the
lifecycle.
* Work across teams with architects, engineers, and analysts to
collaboratively design, implementation and transition to support
* Quickly acclimate to new technical and functional challenges to
command control of the outcome and project teams
* Ensure adherence to established standards and processes while

Required Skills and Competencies:
