As a senior project manager in the Accounting Services Technology team, you will be responsible for managing a development team responsible for the analysis, design and development of critical applications that are used by the entire organization. He/she will need to work closely with Accounting Services and their clients to manage and address business requirements and direct the implementation of new processes and/or re-engineered applications.
Principal Responsibilities
• People Management - take responsibility for developing talent, providing coaching, mentoring, guidance, instruction and feedback. Promoting ownership and motivating the team. Delegating authority with appropriate oversight.
• Business Management – helping to ensure delivery of high quality technology solutions to the business within agreed timeframes and budgets. Forming successful partnerships with clients. Having a commercial mindset & understanding how technology solutions can deliver value to the business.
• Communication – Influencing others, communicating clearly and persuasively and building consensus when required. Sharing information appropriately both locally and with the global team, especially with other managers.
• Project Management - Proactively involving key users and project constituents in all stages of projects; communicating status and risks in a direct and open manner; managing project scope and risk; planning and tracking of projects.
• Technical Management – Maintaining awareness of new and existing technologies, architectures and best practices; building relationships with technical experts; balancing engineering with business needs; encouraging flexible and adaptable architectures with appropriate focus on key attributes such as scalability, performance, robustness, extensibility, compatibility, supportability, and reusability.
Basic Qualifications
• Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science and/or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of application design and development
• Significant experience in SDLC and proven track record of implementation of global applications
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with business intelligence tools
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
• Good user requirements analysis skills and the ability to build strong user relationships
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies a plus
