TITLE: Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) (up to AVP Level)
SALARY: up to 110K
DESCRIPTION: The candidate will be responsible for creation and
administration of 11g database in SUSE Linux RAC environment, proactive
database performance tuning, optimization of existing and creation of new
database procedures, developing and implementation database automation
solutions and performing quality assurance verification of various database
project implementations. The candidate must have strong experience with
installing, upgrading and supporting Oracle 11g databases on SUSE Linux
(SLES 9) platform. Oracle 9i and 10g experience on UNIX AIX, SUSE Linux
(SLES 9, 10) and Windows platforms is a plus. The candidate is required to
have hands-on experience with implementation, administration and usage
Oracle Real Application Clusters and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid
Control. Experience with support and administration of Oracle e-Business
Suite 11i technology is a plus.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Oracle database administration, configuration,
load balancing, performance tuning, RMAN backup and recovery, database
sizing and space management, PL/SQL and shell programming, PL/SQL tuning,
diagnostics of Oracle 10g and 11g databases on AIX and Linux platforms.
Strong PL/SQL knowledge to be able to develop and support PL/SQL code is
required. Understanding of Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g concepts, theories,
principles and best administration practices. Administration and
management of Oracle databases on Real Application Clusters. Maintains
working knowledge of the IT industry and vendor market to effectively
address the development of database software systems and the ongoing
demands for enhancements to existing systems to provide efficient services
to business department and other database/application users. Researches,
evaluates, and recommends database educational material to peers and
management. Performs other job-related duties requiring the same general
knowledge, skills and degree of responsibility equivalent to the assigned
level.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or other related field. 10 or more years of related experience.
Working experience with various database management systems in database
implementation, testing, maintenance and administration in a multiple
platform environment. Previous database administration experience with
demonstrated ability and knowledge of various platforms. Good written and
oral communication skills. Ability to work on-call hours. Knowledge of
applicable data privacy practices and laws. Strong technical documentation
skills. Good interpersonal skills. Highly self motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a
team-oriented, collaborative environment.
This position will be located in the Harborside, Jersey City Office.

Overview
Our client is seeking a Finance Manager who will act as an integral
business partner to global brand teams (GBT) focusing on key performance,
strategic and financial opportunities. This individual will play a broad
role across traditional specialties of Finance, Strategy and Decision
Support, be responsible for Brand A&P and Overhead budget of $30M and will
help shape their overall trademark agenda and ensure that the appropriate
issues are being addressed. Own and control the management of the GBT's
marketing and overhead, and work with the team through Business Performance
Management (BPM) process to undercover risks and opportunities using best
practices on monthly projects requiring fluency with modeling, financial
analysis and P&L management. This role straddles the line between
performance management, Decision Support and Strategy.
Required Skills and Experience:
* MBA preferred
* 7-10 years experience of heavy analytical and/or finance capacity
* Fluency with modeling, financial analysis and P&L management.
* Prior exposure to fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies ideal
* Ability to interact with, develop relationships with and
influence/lead broad set of stakeholders, including senior executives global
Brand and Finance teams, local markets and external agencies.
* Strong financial, strategic, leadership and organizational
capabilities.
* Ability to develop senior-level presentations and models.
* Financial understanding across the value chain with ability to
provide high quality financial and business analysis.
* Provide insightful analysis of core performance drivers for key
brands
* Proven ability to work independently on high-value-at-stake
initiatives, high comfort level with change and ambiguity, ability
collaborate as a team player
* Fluency with key third-party software tools (Excel, Powerpoint)
* Knowledge of SAP and internal reporting tools (Mpower, Magnitude,
Essbase) helpful
