Job Description A major Foreign Bank Holding Company is looking for a Java Prime Services Developer in their Jersey City office.
Department Overview
Prime Services at the Bank provides a fully integrated client offering that supports multiple assed classes. The Prime Services business consists of Equity Financing, Futures, Repo and Fixed Income prime brokerage and Cross Product services. The teams are based in London , New York , Tokyo , Hong Kong and Singapore and Consist of around 180 people globally.
Main Function
Prime Services – Prime Brokerage IT group is looking for a Senior Java Developer. They are located in Jersey City And the candidate must have 5+ years of hands on experience in building Web applications (strong front end Experience). They are building various web applications primarily for hedge fund clients. They are in high pace Environment, looking for candidate who is able to work under pressure but always will deliver high quality code. Candidate must design, develop and deploy various Prime Brokerage applications. It is a plus to have prior Experience or mix: front end and back end Java development.
Skills Required Strong core Java (J2SE0 development skills, preferably through release of 1.5
Proficiency in Object Oriented design and programming
Experience with Object Relational Mapping (ORM)
Experience using web presentation technologies such as JSP, JSF, Ajax
Proficiency with IDE-based development expecially in Eclipse
Proficiency with Ant, and SVN or CVS
Object-oriented Analysis and design patterns
Java, J2EE, JMX, JMS, Web Services, XML
Unit testing and system testing
JBoss or other application servers
Eclipse IDE or similar IDE
SQL, Stored Procedure, Sybase
Nice to Have:
Hands on experience with Coherence cache
Hibernate experience
Experience with JMS
Additional Requirement:
Analytical mind and an enthusiastic, positive attitude
Must have the ability to work independently as well as within a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Salary Range This is a temporary consulting position which will pay up to $550 a day Corp. to Corp. and less for W-2.
