Description: Financial Planning Manager/Financial Systems
This position provides functional & technical support for the Cognos 8 platform with respect to planning, reporting, databases, web sites and any interfaces between all. The candidate must have a strong system savvy along with excellent communication skills and finance knowledge. The Financial Planning Manager maintains and improves the shared corporate Cognos environment, partners with the organizations to build and maintain their Cognos solution and enables & promotes the best practices in planning, budgeting and Financial Performance Management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Work with the team to further the Financial Planning Initiative and provide technical and project management support to the Companies.
· Support current Planning and Business Intelligence platform operations.
· Adopt project/program management governance.
· Work with users and IT to troubleshoot and enhance their Cognos Platform.
· Prepare new agencies for participation in the program.
· Create/maintain system and implementation documentation.
· Develop and deliver training for end users.
· Manage all department content on internal website.
· Work closely with IT to coordinate server upgrades, server patches, software upgrades, backups and maintenance.
Job Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
· Background /knowledge of planning & budgeting process and principles.
· Strong technical/systems acumen.
· Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
· Robust communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
· Advanced Excel Experience.
