Job Description:
The Temporary Clinical Trial Study Lead is part of the customer service organization and will be responsible for all project management activities required to setting up and launching a new clinical trial from JOM. This role is critical to ensuring the launch of successful clinical trials. Responsibilities include the following: Leadership of a cross functional team comprised of Distribution, QA, DEA Compliance, Customer Service, Training, Master Data, IT, Transportation and Package Development. She/ He will collect all the relevant information from the clinical groups in order to accurately set up new clinical studies in all of JOM systems, including SAP and MARC. Will ensure accurate clinical trial set up and on time shipments and protect blinding information. Clinical Studies could be narcotics, cold chain or ambient product. The Temporary Clinical Trial Study Lead will liaison with supply management design leads as well as with clinical trial managers to ensure the proper communication flow with the clinical groups and use project management tools to ensure that the studies are set up in a compliant manner with all regulatory requirements.
The Temporary Clinical Trial Study Lead will ensure all relevant SOP's and Work Instructions have been updated to reflect any impact of the new studies. Will develop and conduct training for distribution and customer service in preparation for the launch of a new study and will deliver SAP screen training to our internal clinical customers. She/ He will ensure the projects deliver business objectives with respect to project cost, quality, and timeline. Will partner with groups outside of JOM (for example: Packaging engineering, DEA Compliance and Supply Management). Will partner with Information Technology to develop solutions to support new studies and process improvements as well as to support the changing needs of the clinical trial business. She/ He will participate in testing, implementation and training on these solutions. Will be the primary point of contact for the clinical customer for complex clinical study issue resolution, will identify and execute cost savings, process improvement and compliance projects that improve JOM and the clinical groups processes and will assist in the development and collection of metrics for the clinical business at JOM and for the clinical customer.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree is desired but not required. Must possess at least 3 years of work experience in a pharmaceutical or related area where you have demonstrated the ability to manage complexity and the application of project management skills. Experience may include a lead role supporting order to cash activities, marketing, operations, finance, technology, supply chain, planning or other relevant supply chain centric position. Experience in , Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Information Technology supporting Supply Chain systems or Clinical Trials is preferred. Knowledge of SAP is preferred. Systems proficiency is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred. The ability to influence, strategic thinking, attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency are essential. Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment. Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team environment required. Project Management experience preferred. Experience managing relationships with external customers and/or business partners is required. Demonstrated leadership skills and personal accountability, customer orientation, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must possess a demonstrated ability to execute and understand concepts at a detailed level, but also be able to summarize and communicate upwards and across stakeholders that might not be as intimate with details. This position will be based in Somerset, NJ.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Utilize COGNOS reporting software to identify and analyze data to support key organizational strategies
· Create integrated analyses from varied data sources
· Develop and maintain MS Excel and MS Access sourcing databases
· Develop and maintain internal SharePoint data libraries and communication materials
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree and 1+ years experience in Analyst or similar role
· Proficiency with database management tools and presentation of data analysis - COGNOS business software knowledge is a plus
· Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to analyze and validate data
· Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access)
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
· Detail oriented, dependable and motivated
· Interested in learning new things and comfortable taking the initiative to seek out projects or new areas of responsibility
