Today at the St. Matthias Employment Ministry, we put the spotlight on the question: What's working...in your job search? Here is the collective wisdom from today's group.

Feel free to share this with others.

Terry

What's Working . . . in your job search

Today at the St. Matthias Employment Ministry,
we put the spotlight on the question: What's working...in your job
search? Here is the collective wisdom from today's group (scroll down for list).

A couple gems bubbled up that we think are worth pondering. Ask yourself how you could implement them in your search:
~ Do something different
~ Make your own luck

Overall, our recommendation is focus on the activities with the greatest payback. The number one high-value activity, we believe, is networking.

As Summer approaches, and thoughts of relaxing at the beach come to mind, remember your ABC's: Always Be Connecting! Even on the beach :-)

Have a great Summer!

Terry

PS - A special "thank you" to today's panel presenters Mario Kyriakou and Pamela Kline.

PPS - Make a note in your calendar: Our next event is September 25 for the Working Life retreat at St. Matthias, a prayerful day of reflection for anyone seeking a greater connectedness between their work and their life.
