This coming Saturday May 21st, the St. Matthias Employment Ministry is happy to
offer a mini-retreat called "This Working Life" - How to Love Your Work, Reduce
Stress, Find Balance, and Discover the Secret to Happiness.

In our hearts, we know that there is a spiritual dimension to work. But in our
busy lives, where the focus is so material, we almost always lose sight of the
spiritual side. So if you have ever wondered, "What is working all about, at
the end of the day? Are we working ourselves sick...or could we be working our
way into heaven?" then this retreat may be just what you need.

Our program is designed to encompass the entire working life cycle including
starting one's career after school, achieving success, suffering setbacks,
changing careers, starting one's own business, retiring, and reinventing one's
self. So everyone is welcome, whether you are just starting out, mid-career, or
thinking about your 3rd Act.

The program highlights include:

- Reflecting upon: Why do we work? How can we find meaning in the work that we
do? Is there a spiritual dimension to work that can help "lift up our eyes" to a
higher purpose in life?

- Listening: As St. Matthias parishioners share their real-life stories of both
the joys and difficulties of work.

- Discovering: The work-faith connection in your own life.
