Sr Developer

Location: NYC

Salary: 75-85K Full Medical Benefits Paid for by the company.  No out of pocket cost to employee

Qualifications___________________________________________________________

******Must have C# or VB.net skills and SQL.

1.            College Degree

2.            Minimum of five (5) years design and development experience with Microsoft ACCESS and or Microsoft SQL databases.

3.            Minimum of five (5) years programming experience with Visual Basic and/or .NET (preferred).

4.            Minimum of three (3) years business involvement in Clinical/Healthcare Systems.

5.            Microsoft certification(s) towards MCSD or MCAD.

6.            Must demonstrate a successful track record of overall project responsibilities covering requirements definition, system analysis and design, development and implementation.

7.            Expertise in Microsoft Desktop Suite.

8.            Effective communication and people contact skills at all levels.

9.            Ability to work on multiple microcomputer-based projects.

10.            Proficiency in PC hardware and operating systems software.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Plan, coordinate and implement PC-based and technology solutions for user departments, especially the clinical departments.  Work as an integral member of the Information Technology department in meeting the information needs of the client for both short and long range business objectives.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.            With a minimum of supervision, establish the appropriate level of user dialogue in determining the feasibility, design and strategy of assigned business areas.

2.            Design, develop and test applications, either individually or as a project member.

3.            Complete assigned user application projects, either individually or as a project team member.

4.            Provide end-user support for database applications such as Raiser's Edge, Accumedic.  Interface with vendors to troubleshoot and support these applications.

5.            Develop and maintain periodic project planning documentation and status reports.

6.            Handle Help Desk calls: answer phone, talk users through problem solving, onsite hardware/software/network support

7.            Perform other duties as assigned, delegated and required.

Working Experience

         Work 10 yrs in mid sized  company 

         FDA – 5+ years experience in regulated environment

         Experience supporting all aspects of a pharmaceutical company – Research, Commercial, Manufacturing, …

         Working in a high growth, multi site environment

         5-10 years experience manage an IT operations staff size  of 6-10

Management skills should include:

         Able to balance priorities. Manage large projects timelines against maintenance activities in a high touch environment.

         Highly organized individual that is able to effectively listen, and develop short term tactical as well as longer term strategic plans that supports the company's growth.

         Strong project planning, time management and communication skills

         Ability to provide guidance and coaching to staff

         Able to know when to get into the details

 

Technical experience should include:

         Technical depth, design and architectural skills in developing and managing network infrastructure, security, systems, servers with overall data center responsibilities – Technologies include: Cisco, VMWare, MS Exchange & Office, SAN's

         Experience managing a high touch support organization, supporting 500 users – multi office and field force.

         Manage telecom - PDA/Cell Phone/VoIP

         Understanding of FDA systems validation

         Experience in creating "appropriate level" of departmental SOP's, practices and policy (network diagrams, requirements, designs)

         Corporate Data Center Move to new location

         Manage rollout of MS Windows 7 and  Office 2010

         Understand business priorities in order to come up with the optimal technical solution.

         Work in a highly demanding environment, informally working in a environment.

         Individual should be customer service oriented with a positive attitude.
