Position #1: Technical Architect - Java (J2EE) JERSEY CITY, NJ
We are looking to hire an experienced Sr architect who can work with various groups in architecting web based applic at ion solutions using Java. The individual should have a significant amount of experience developing and architecting java solutions. This individual will take a lead role in designing solutions with various teams in support of various business lines including Banking, Custody, FX, Research Str at egy, Brokerage, Compliance, Document Management and Human Resources. The individual should be very technical, be able to advise on how to architect solutions in each of the technologies noted, prepare detailed architecture diagrams and str at egy documents and be able to present his ideas to a senior IT audience. Strong interpersonal skills is also a must as this candid at e will be working with several teams in this role and will need to work in a collabor at ive way while still manage to influence others to his ideas and needs. The Ideal candid at e will have marketed and implemented web based solutions built in java within an organiz at ion and should demonstr at e a high level of knowledge in web development environments and rel at ed technologies
Specific skills required include:
• Strong group management and project governance skills.
• Strong present at ion skills (both oral and written) and a track record of preparing present at ions and delivering them to senior audiences.
• Experience with the following topics and rel at ed software:
o Java (J2EE, JSF, JRF, Hibern at e, Seam, etc.)
o IBM's WebSphere pl at form
o Oracle,
o UNIX (Solaris), Linux (running on mainframe)
o MQ Series
o JFree Charts (a plus)
• Any experience with other typical these technologies are a plus:
o Mainframe (Z/OS, CICS, DB2)
o Linux
o IBM's MQ Series
