This position includes Business Analysis, Development, and Support for this group. The technical environment is .Net 2.0 and 3.5 / C# clients with a MS SQL database server along with a number of remoting and web services. The Programmer/Analyst is expected to be fully proficient in object oriented programming and service oriented architectures and to develop and support applications in C# .net. The position of QA manager within the Business Intelligence team is responsible for establishment, maintenance and enhancement of testing standards and QA processes within the enterprise. The manager also provides guidance and coaching to other team members in creation of BI testing solutions that are focused on the business needs of the customers. Other responsibilities include: Assures the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential QA tools (e.g., QA data base, test system environment and software). Consults with development and client areas in the area of quality control and the development of new or revised applications. Responsible for the design and execution of effective test plans and scripts for acceptance testing in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environment, software, hardware technology and tools, etc. Provides comprehensive consulting to client and IT management and staff regarding QA and implementation issues (software and hardware). Requires at least six, but typically eight or more years experience in systems analysis and programming and QA.

Qualifications

* Ten years experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Development, with five years of proven management experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
* Ability to work with multiple levels of management across Technology and the supported Business Units.
* Excellent team building skills and team management skills
* Strong project management skills
* Experience in all stages of Software Quality Assurance testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
* Solid understanding of and experience in Waterfall and Agile Software Development Methodologies
* Experience in Business Intelligence, Information Management, data warehouse and data marts architecture, ETL, OLAP test methodology, and Cognos 8 is required.
* Experience testing Oracle and Unix required.
* Experience with Progress Web Based Systems, SOA, E-Commerce a plus.
* Self starter with ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
* Experience in Annuities or Financial Services preferred.
* CMST (Certified Manager of Software Testing) preferred.

We need experienced PMs with background working in large, structured organizations that have well-defined SDLC and PM methodologies. Matrix environment (since our PMs don't directly own the resources on projects) is also good. Prior consulting/contractor background can be helpful as they usually know how to hit the ground running. PMI cert is good, but experience counts more.

The projects are app dev, varying sizes. Health insurance background doesn't hurt but is not critical. they don't have to be highly technical. Must be able to coordinate and communicate across the technical teams (Sa,Dev, QA), multiple apps, as well as the business.

They also need to be able to work some weekends, as PMs often are needed to manage issue resolution during testing and deployment.

Vendor contract negotiation

Requirements:
Seven or more years relevant experience in IT with an emphasis in Project Management
