CARDIAC STRESS LAB RN
Full time, 7am-3:30pm

MAIN FUNCTIONS:
=Prepares patient for procedures.
=Provides instruction to patient's understanding.
=Applies 12-lead EKG electrodes.
=Inserts IV line.
=Monitors blood pressure (supine and erect) during treadmill stress test.
=Assists in performing treadmill stress Dobutamine/Persantine test.
=Monitors patient during imaging.
=Administers medication and oxygen under supervision of cardiologists.
=Assists Nuclear Lab Technologist with observation/enforcement
of Nuclear lab policies and procedures, supply inventory and daily procedures.
=Ensures quality patient care in the absence of the Nuclear Lab Technologist
=Establishes and maintains good working relationships with physicians, staff,
and outside contractors.
=Performs resuscitative efforts when necessary.
=Assists in any resuscitative efforts or life threatening situations.
=Operates DC defibrillator when necessary.
EXPERIENCE:
2+years critical care experience and/or
2+years cardiac stress lab experience with hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active
medications.
LICENSURE:
NJ RN License,
BLS,
ACLS,
IV
EDUCATION:
BSN or current enrollment in BSN.

We have all heard about the wonders of social media and rapidly changing
technology but the real challenge is to "make it work for us". On April 9, 2011,
the St. Matthias Employment Ministry will be conducting a workshop on how to
make the best use of the 21st century tools to advance your career.
Unless you are planning to retire in the next few months, you will in all
likelihood be making changes (some voluntary some not so voluntary) in your
career in the future. Whether that change is moving up in your current
organization, changing jobs or a new career, preparation is critical to success.
You should "Dig your well before you are thirsty".
So, no matter where you are on your worklife journey --recent college graduate
to seasoned Boomer-- you are welcome. This is a great opportunity to share your
knowledge and experience as well as learn from others.
