Our Client a Financial Industry Leader has an exciting full time opportunity for a Payroll Tax Manager in New York City

Responsible for all payroll tax activities including compliance with federal, state and local regulations and filing tax returns.
Supervise staff of tax analysts and manage day to day processing.
Responsible for accurate and timely tax deposits and reporting.
Prepare special reports for senior management.
Works directly with Accounting on tax reconciliations.
Manages all aspects of federal and state tax audits as well as internal audit requests.
Prepare letters of abatement for any penalties.
Coordination of Cobra Subsidy.
Responsible for Year-End processing and filing of all related tax forms.
Works with IT to insure compliance related to tax withholding rates and year-end reconciliation.
Works with IT to insure all earnings codes are setup accurately for taxation on a federal, state and local level.
Experience Required:
5-7 years overall payroll tax experience
Experience with tax outsourcing providers (ie: ADP, Ceridian, and Master Tax) and implementation of systems.
Experience with Cyborg and PeopleSoft a plus.
CPP preferred.

Many of you saw a message that I had sent to the group for IT Positions at KPMG - Montvale, but did not take the time to read the message or follow the proper process for applying to their career center and then getting some help with a position once you have identified it and already applied for it.

People are not going to find you a job, you need to find yourself a job, and then see if you can find someone on the inside to change the position from an unknown to a known opportunity.

Do not send your resume to anyone and ask them to look for a job for you. This is not going to happen (even if they say they will and charge you a fee for it); you must identify the position yourself.

I spoke with Diane of KPMG today; she has been inundated with over a 100 "solicitations" of a resume and the question of "is there anything there for me?".

When applying for a position, please be qualified, if you are a Project Manager, don't apply for a desktop support or help desk position.

All resumes sent directly to Diane are being deleted as she does have the time to look through them and try to match them to a position. You need to apply through the KPMG Career Center

Diane is also not a LinkedIn Open Networked (LION), she will not accept an invitation from someone she does not know.

I hope that I have not offended anyone today, my intent is to bring your attention to something that has gone terribly wrong, and how to fix it. Read and follow the instructions.

Position:- Consultant Relationship Management Specialist

IBM Delivery Team – Consultant Relationship Management Specialist (US Based)
Reports To: Senior Manager Delivery Services – IBM USA
Function: As part of the Consultant Relationship Management team, develop and maintain communication with Artech W2 employees and subtier contractors as a primary point of contact.

Hours: 40 Hours, but flexible to cover US times zones adequately.

Required Skills (in order of importance):
Must be an exceptional communicator via both telephone and email.

Must be a `People Person who wants to speak with and assist many people on a daily basis.

Comfortable making 100 plus phone calls per day. (This is a call out position, not waiting for the call)

Must be able to simultaneously manage numerous requests for assistance through the various phases of completion.

The ability to handle difficult conversations in a non-emotional manner.

A `Problem Solver' with the ability to analyze an issue, identify and work with the correct resource(s) resolve the issue and follow up to demonstrate the issue is resolved.

Must be Detail Oriented with the ability to gather and report/record important information in detail.

After advisement by Finance of missing W2 timesheets, contact the resource via telephone (with email follow up as required) to obtain the missing timesheet(s).

Coordinate the resolution of contractor (W2/Sole Source/Subtier) Expense Reimbursement issues with Finance utilizing the defined process and procedures.

Coordinate the Performance Counseling for Consultants.

Communicate the need for supplemental funding for Expense Reimbursement on Purchase Orders with the client and coordinate the action with Finance.

Coordinate the exit of Consultant resources from client projects.

All contractor information and communications should be updated in Salesforce on real-time basis by creating activities and updating the contractor profile.

Responsible for the coordination of all Contractor Terminations. To include Notification, Asset Return and Backfill advisement.

We currently have multiple contract to hire opportunities for QA Test Developers at a major company in King of Prussia, PA. Candidates must have hands on testing skills with back end skills preferred. Experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is a nice plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with developers to create test plans from functional specifications.

2. Represent QA in design, function requirements, code reviews, and architecture reviews.

3. Review test plans and test scripts across Development and QA

4. Work closely with developers to create and extend unit test cases and share test code.

5. Participate in design reviews and static code inspections.

6. Establish test case design and test strategy for component testing utilizing application interfaces.

7. Work closely with QA Automation and Performance Engineering teams to leverage and share methodologies across QA and Development departments

Qualifications:

Required:

Experience or demonstrated knowledge designing and building frameworks that support test development and its application in testing e-Commerce APIs, components, web services, relational databases and content management systems.
Strong QA background with an emphasis on structural or white box testing leveraging advanced test design techniques (i.e. control flow, data flow, branch, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitions, negative testing, and edge conditions).
Experience with designing and building automation frameworks in support of continuous integration in a test driven development (TDD) or behavior driven development (BDD) environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of QA test processes including test planning, development, execution, and results reporting for multiple projects.
Strong analytical, problem solving skills and technical troubleshooting.
Experience with testing frameworks, continuous integration and build tools (i.e. jUnit, DBUnit, Maven, Bamboo, Ant, JIRA)
Experience with Web-based technologies (HTTP, XML).
3+ years of object oriented programming experience (Java, C++, C#) in a commercial application development environment.
3+ years of strong SQL experience (ie: Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL).
3+ years experience with scripting languages (ie: Ruby, Groovy, Python, Perl)
3+ years experience with source code control tools (ie: Subversion).
Experience or understanding of architectural principles and frameworks (MVC, Spring, and Hibernate desired).
