Westchester Networking Organization
The Westchester Networking Organization (WNO) invites you to our monthly
meeting to be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the First Congregational
Church of Chappaqua, 210 Orchard Ridge Road, Chappaqua, New York 10514.
In the holiday spirit, the WNO invites you to an evening of merrymaking at
our annual WNO Pot Luck Party. Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful
membership, we will have food and light refreshments while we network. We
may even have a surprise activity or two, so please come and find out what
we are up to.

Configuration Manager
(Located in Woodbury, NY)
Our client, a premiere Telecommunications company, is seeking a ConfigurationManager with some technical lead experience for a long term consulting engagment. This individual will utilize advanced knowledge of configuration management tools, technology, standards and procedures to support and manage configuration management processes. The Lead will also be involved with defect management and documentation of version control procedures. This individual must be comfortable and effective working in a very dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
. Assist in coordinating with development organizations on designing and implementing appropriate folder structure for managing documents, builds, branches, deliverables and other artifacts as appropriate
. Implement the structure in tools sets identified and implemented in phased implementation plan
. Create configuration management `how-to` sheets for developers, tech writers, testers, and others who create artifacts that will be controlled for new deployments
. Track all configuration items needed for compilation/build, installation, execution, testing and documentation of developed software
. Update baseline copies of software as configuration changes are made in development and end testing
. Lead the CM efforts affiliated with baselining and managing lab environments, including documenting all hardware, software and networking components for end testing
. Lead the activities associated with assessing and improving the Release Management function within the Engineering & Technology team
. Familiar with traditional software development lifecycle process
. Help coordinate the deployment of software components
. Work with internal departments to develop and maintain CVS Project standards and procedures to ensure that configuration management controls are capable of supporting development, deployment and implementation activities to meet project needs
. Ensure version control integrity for software and non-software components by reviewing CVS Project requirements. Establish approach for resolving discrepancies to ensure requirements are met for end testing
. Develop and maintain standards and procedures to ensure that configuration management controls are capable of supporting deployment activities and implementations to meet business needs.
. Interpret configuration management activities and tools as defined and applies them to project activities. Work with the project manager to develop configuration management plans, milestones, and schedules for projects.
. Maintain expertise in latest state-of-the-art testing methodologies and automated tool suites as they pertain to existing and planned Corporate Engineering projects
. Accurate preparation and documentation of test results, issues / defects and progress.
Required Skills:
. 3+ years experience as a Configuration Manager or Technical Lead
. Quality Center or Test Director experience is a must
. Familiarity with Serena Business Mash-ups
. Familiarity with IBM Rational Rose
. Familiarity with Remedy
. Familiarity with PVCS and or Dimensions
. Telco or Cable Media is a BIG plus
. Must possess excellent communication skills

Job Description: Sr Manager, Document Management $150-180,000 + B in Jersey City, NJ
Responsibilities: We are looking to hire a senior (group) manager to lead the Document Management cluster of the Systems organization, reporting into Division Head for that cluster. This leader will help to shape the vision / strategy for this important firm wide initiative, promote the initiative across the various Lines of Business, establish a strong project governance model and work with the key areas throughout the bank to educate the organization on topics such as imaging, scanning, optical character recognition (OCR), workflow and content management repositories. He or she will be responsible for validating the current technology framework and work to implement the various technology tools associated with that framework, helping to build standards and best practices for using that framework to develop document management business solutions for the firm. He or she will also be responsible for updating senior committees throughout the back
with the status of this initiative. These committees include the Systems Executive Steering Committee (SESC), the Operations Oversight Committee (OOC), the Systems Operating Committee and others.
Specific skills required include:
⢠Strong group management and project governance skills.
⢠Strong presentation skills (both oral and written) and a track record of preparing presentations and delivering them to senior audiences.
⢠Experience with the following topics and related software:
o Scanning and imaging
o Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
o Content Management
o Workflow
o Business Process Management (BPM)
The ideal candidate will have marketed and implemented a Document Management strategy within an organization along with the associated technology framework and governance structure to support that strategy.
⢠Specific knowledge and hands on experience working with Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as Pega Systemsâ SmartBPM tool or IBMâs Lombardi (Blueprint & Teamwork which is used here at BBH) products is a must.
⢠Experience with Oracleâs Enterprise Content Management platform and Universal Content Manager (UCM) repository is also a big plus.
⢠Strong budgeting skills and experience managing large group and project budgets.
