Hiring SVP Sales in NYC

We are conducting an executive search for an SVP/VP of Sales. (Title depends upon experience.) Successful and established European company has created a new technology and product which is not offered today by anyone else. The parent company spun this unique offering into a new venture company that has already gained strong traction in Europe with customers like Google, Microsoft and P&G. Our client is growing quickly and ready to expand into the United States. They need to hire a Rock star SVP of Sales who can hit the ground running. This position will be headquartered in New York City. This is a key hire. Client is willing and able to put together the right package for the right candidate. Need someone experienced at creating AND executing a strategic sales plan. Need to hire a player/coach. As you hit your numbers, then you will need to build a team. Must have e held a position within the last 12 months with responsibility for an individual quota (and ideally a team quota too) selling online advertising and/or market research to big name consumer brands, ad agencies, digital agencies, and media houses like Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, Coca-Cola, Visa, Ford, Nike, Target, Wal-Mart, Sony, Apple, Google, Microsoft, P&G, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, McCann, etc. Prefer someone who can land a few strategic alliances with the larger research agencies such as: Market Tools; GMI, eRewards, Harris On Line, SSI, Greenfield and especially OTX, TNS, Ipsos, or Neilson. Experience working in a dynamic (i.e. “startup�) environment is mandatory as well as a successful track record growing revenues from early adoption through market share leadership.
