Title - VICE PRESIDENT, SECURITY OFFICER Location - NEW YORK, NEW YORK Salary Range - $125,000-$140,000 BASE, PLUS BONUS Job Description - Private Bank uses a variety of computer equipment, applications, files, databases, and other resources that support the business on a daily basis, both within the Bank's locations and in the technology infrastructure that supports it. The development, provisioning, and use of technology allow enhanced support for business functions. However, technology also introduces risk into the environment, and therefore requires governance and appropriate oversight. The intent of the Security policy is to ensure appropriate governance over information and technology resources and to facilitate the provision of technology in support of Private Bank's business growth within a regulatory-compliant and risk-managed framework. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for administration of the security program. They will manage and oversee the risk assessment process, development of policies, standards, and procedures, testing, and security reporting processes. To ensure appropriate segregation of duties, the Security Officers will report directly to the Senior Operational Risk Officer within the CAO office, yet have sufficient independence to perform their assigned tasks. The Security officer will have the authority to respond to security events by ordering emergency actions to protect the financial institution and its customers from an imminent loss of information or value. They should have sufficient knowledge, background, and training, as well as an organizational position, to enable them to perform their assigned tasks. The Security Officer must approve any exceptions to policy, serve as an escalation point within Private Bank for information security issues, and receive regular reports on Bank information security, and be responsible for the following: * Status of entitlements and related monitoring * Status of security training * Remediation of regulatory and audit findings relating to info sec * Maintain regular contact with Company units to ensure awareness of current initiatives and business requirements * Ensuring that security policies, entitlements, ownership and best practices exist * Provide education and awareness as required to Company business areas; Tailor awareness sessions to meet specific business needs; Utilize existing resources * Provide consulting, as required, on all specific Company initiatives and information security related issues; liaise with security partners, as appropriate * Responsible for status of entitlements, especially to vendor systems, of terminated users * Lead information security initiatives and participate in information security-related forums at firm -level * Raise information security concerns to InfoSec, Senior Management or Operational Risk * Identify specific information security needs and discuss and resolve in partnership with InfoSec and IT Security Requirements: . Minimum 10 years of work experience (risk management experience a plus) . Prior experience as a Security Officer at a financial institution . Must work well within a team-oriented environment . Excellent oral and written communication skills . Strong project and interpersonal skills . Self motivated individual, goal oriented with a flexible approach . Extensive problem solving skills .
