| Required Skills | | | Specific Requirements (required unless noted otherwise): * Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple IT projects of varying size and scope including large (over 7,000 person hours) enterprise wide projects using a standardized methodology is preferred * Six years of experience working on successful IT-related projects, or equivalent skill set, is preferred * Position-level appropriate verbal and written communication skills, facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to bring a project team to consensus on issues * Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information in a diplomatic and tactful way * Demonstrated capability to successfully handle multiple project teams and multiple tasks simultaneously and under strict deadlines * Advanced knowledge and use of Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar methodology is preferred * Significant experience using project management software is preferred * Familiarity with BABOK, or similar business analysis methodology, requirements gathering, and testing is preferred * Bachelor's degree with six years of experience managing projects in a lead role is preferred; however, an equivalent skill set/work experience is acceptable * Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent certification, is required within one year of placement in this position, and prior to moving to the next level of Project Manager Experience is required in one or more of the following healthcare payer process areas: * Care management, disease management, utilization management, appeal and grievances, HEDIS, and provider profiling * Claims processing, enrollment and EDI * Provider network management, credentialing, and underwriting |
