The Sr. Manager/ Associate Director of Data Warehousing
will be directly responsible for setting strategy and direction, goals, implementing standards, and defining processes for THE COMPANY Commercial Data Warehouse. Responsible for working with the business and technical teams to deliver on the vision to build and manage the commercial Data warehouse/Operational Data Store as a single and central repository of data and business analytics related to Commercial Operation information, business key performance metrics and more. He/she ensures that Data warehouse strategy is fully aligned with the Commercial business strategy and data will be delivered in a timely manner and will be consumed by a variety of tools, dashboards and reports that drive our business to continuing improvement and success.

-Develop and direct the strategy, mission, goals, priorities, budget, policies, process and resources for the development and support of Commercial Data Warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM) and Business Intelligence technologies.
-Fully accountable for successful delivery of data warehouse, MDM and reporting projects and maintenance work. Interface between business, warehouse vendors and IT teams for end to end accountability of project delivery.
-Provide technical expertise and experience around data warehouse, MDM and reporting best practices. Provide thought leadership on technical design, application architecture; and system design.
-Interface with business customers on key data warehouse processes and standards. Including but not limited to: definition of data model; data quality, audit and data governance and definition of key business performance indicators and other metrics.
-Maintain communication and strong working relationships with data warehouse business stakeholders and technical teams. Provide meaningful and timely status on new developments, maintenance work requests, and escalated support items. Coordinate across business and IT functions.
-Tight integration with vendors onshore and offshore teams as well as management. Accountable for managing vendors' development, run and maintenance deliveries.
-Interface with third party vendors and solution providers which interact with THE COMPANY data warehouse platform where required.
-Utilize and ensure project adherence to THE COMPANY standard project management processes and tools .through the entire project life cycle
-Responsible for identifying and managing project risk factors, and anticipating and resolving project issues
-Oversight of the project change control process.
-Financial oversight and analysis
-Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate Team Leaders, Portfolio Management, and Steering Committee leadership
-Draft statements of work for acquiring third party project resources..
-Manage multiple vendors and contractors in the context of the project..
-Participate in contract preparation activities.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, Education, and Experience
Knowledge
-Knowledge of Commercial business in Pharmaceutical Industry (Sales, Marketing, Medical….)
-Knowledge of emerging technologies for Data warehousing and Business Intelligence
-Deep knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and best practices. Including ETL technologies, data quality and data stewardship, data modeling. Experience shaping BI strategy and roadmap.
-Knowledge and experience on Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Profiling/Quality and Predictive Analytics/Data Mining is highly desirable.
-Knowledge of Kalido tool is a plus.

Education
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business required, MBA or Masters degree preferred
-7 years experience in managing Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse platforms. Experience with OLAP, ETL and reporting tools.
-3-5 years hands on experience serving as primary interface between business and technology teams in support of warehousing and reporting projects in Pharmaceutical industry/Commercial Operation. Experience managing a portfolio of BI applications in partnership with multiple business stakeholder groups
-Process management and Process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma, LEAN, PMBOK/Project Management etc. is a plus
-Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP.
