Position: PMO Project Manager Location: NYC Metro Area Industry: Investment bank Type: Long Term Consultant Job Description: The PMO Support resource will be responsible for supporting the Market Data program. Primary responsibilities involve: Establishing and running program PMO (includes program governance, meeting scheduling, process for project status collection / reporting, etc.). Supporting the Program Manager in all aspects of Program tracking and management. Defining and collecting project metrics including cost, time, quality, and risk. Scheduling and attending project meetings to collect and review status/issues/risks, and documenting meeting minutes and action items. Managing the issues list to ensure issues are documented and actioned as appropriate. Effectively communicating with key project stakeholders on project progress. Taking responsibility for quality assurance within the program by overseeing that Program Services methodologies, standards and procedures are being implemented regionally. Establishing credibility with all levels of IT management. Qualifications: A banking or consultancy background (4 years + experience) and an understanding of structured program management in the banking arena. A proven track record of successfully supporting large complex programs within a banking environment (4 years + experience). Proven organizational, leadership and management skills. Must be fluent in English, very articulate and good working with senior management. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, concise manner. Solid strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision making skills. Ability to produce clear, concise reporting. Tact, discretion and diplomacy to gather data. Sufficient credibility to direct project teams and senior management in relation to the program goals. Strong presentation development skills. Ability to follow up and manage personal time in a very fast paced, complex and often ambiguous situations with multiple conflicting priorities. Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. Looking for demanding problem solving individuals who are attentive to detail, delivery focused and process oriented. Education/Professional Qualifications: *Essential: University under-graduate degree. **Desirable: Market Data project experience and Structured program / project management qualifications.
