Here is another spot at Healthfirst....salary from 90 to 125K....key is large env. and be the Manager who oversees the desktop and help desk services.   

 

Position Summary:    

Serve as a Desktop Support Manager to ensure proper day-to-day operation of internal support. This person will manage a group of 15 to 20 support staff, assets, ticketing, and image/software deployment to maintain optimal performance levels, as well as, provide high level technical assistance to support staff.
Will specifically be responsible for managing the daily operation and leadership of 3 supervisors and 15 to 20 staff both employees and external contractors. This role will provide technical expertise to support client desktop hardware and office productivity software including HP/Dell Workstations and laptops, network and print devices, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, remote connectivity and client package deployments.
Must be capable of participating as a daily contributor to the help desk and desktop support function, and lead/manage the team at the same time. Will be responsible for communication for all IT related issues as the "Face of IT" - liasing with the business groups supported and setting appropriate service level expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Manage Help Desk and Desktop Support team
  • Responsible for reporting daily/weekly/monthly operation status consists of Helpstars and  inventory
  • Management, Incident and Problem Management, Desktop Services, Computer Operations, and Asset Management.
  • Vendor management to co-ordinate the purchase of desktop/laptop/printer/fax/copiers and support contracts
  • Provide enterprise-level service management for a 2500 user help desk support operation.
  • Maintain the SLAs between 93 and 95%
  • Maintain the desktop/laptop environment updated, secured and at its optimum configurations level as per the P&Ps
  • Project management for managing s/w upgrades and deployments.
  • Weekly status reports to PM as well as to Senior management
  • daily monitoring of terminations and recoup of equipment and updating inventory
Work Experience/Qualificications:
Employee is required to have more than 8 years of relevant experience required.

Education Requirements:                            
Employee is required to possess an Associate's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Employee is preferred to be certified in MCSE, MCSA, MCP or CCNA.

Technical Skills:
Employee is required to have advanced level skills with Desktop OS (Windows XP, Windows).
Employee is required to have intermediate level skills in Active Directory Administration and Software client packaging.
