IT Specialist
 
Job Summary:
The IT Specialist will be a key contributor to the successful operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.  The IT Specialist will help to ensure that all Amerlux IT systems are performing and are maintained at acceptable operating levels and will resolve any issues that would impede operations.  This position will participate in the planning, implementation and maintenance of system hardware and software and will provide desktop support for local and remote systems users.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and four years of related work experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office programs, Sharepoint
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking devices, computer hardware, servers and operating systems
  • Extensive application support experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Some project management experience for IT initiatives
  • Quick learner able to assimilate new technologies
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and personality
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the design, implementation and maintenance of information systems to serve the operational needs of the Company
  • Installs, maintains and troubleshoots issues with hardware and software
  • Assists end-users with software application and hardware issues
  • Support the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and upgrade of all IT systems including telecommunications, servers, PCs, peripherals and business applications
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
  • Analyze and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT infrastructure and systems
  • Establish and maintain IT policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with third party partners to achieve the best solutions and outcomes in accordance with service level expectations
  • Perform asset management tracking for IT hardware, software and equipment
  • Participate, administer and support Amerlux IT initiatives as requested
  • Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Company and management

Job Description

 

Senior Win7/Citrix Deployment Project Manager (6+ years of experience)

1. Strong PM deployment experience.

2. Should have had prior experience with a large Win7 program and have
experience with Change Management.

Deployment PM: For the Win7/Citrix 6.5 Program, the project managers
will be manage and support multiple work streams. The primary
workstreams will be the:

Deployment workstream where the PM will be the lead PM responsible for
overall plan for the workstream. This will focus on planning,
coordinating and execution of Win7/Citrix 6.5, deployments.

This will involve optimize the user data collection processes,
implementation planning, coordinating with GS, Dell, MS and business
units the details needed to successfully perform upgrades.

Client prefers experience working with Microsoft on this type of upgrade
project. Position require strong communications, process, inventory
control etc. Must have extensive experience upgrading from XP to WIn7
environments in large environments(5000 + workstations).

Following general experiences required:

Responsible for coordinating, defining, staffing, and managing one or
multiple projects. The Project Manager works across the business, IS
management, Quality Assurance and Testing, Systems Analyst, Software
Development, and Technical Writing teams to ensure the delivery of a
high quality software application.

Primary technical point of contact with management and various technical
personnel on project from project inception through completion.

Develops project schedules, coordinates project status meetings, manages
resources in all phases of software development life cycle. Works with
the project business owner to oversee delivery performance, ensure
delivery quality and report schedule, cost, and execution performance.
