V.P., APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT- INSURANCE SALES, MARKETING & DISRIBUTION
Our client, a major Insurance firm, is seeking a VP of Application Development to lead a large team responsible for developing new and enhancing existing applications and tools specifically for the Agency and Marketing business areas. This Technology Executive will develop strategic partnerships with senior Sales and Marketing Business Executives to deliver technology solutions aligned with business priorities and ensure the technical design provides scale and sustainability for the future.
Responsibilities:
* Provide executive leadership to the Applications Development team. (150+ resources)
* Build strategic partnerships with senior level Insurance Agency Sales and Marketing business executives.
* Ensure business performance outcomes are realized in an efficient, high quality and cost effective manner.
* Deliver solutions in the context of meeting control, process and methodology requirements.
* Develop a robust and predictable execution capability that significantly improves time to market.
* Full budget responsibility.
* Directs, develops and manages staff, including providing coaching and training, setting goals, evaluating performance, planning staff assignments and development, and making and approving people management decisions.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing Applications Development.
* Extensive experience in IT solutions delivery in the Insurance industry with emphasis on Distribution oriented technologies including CRM, mobility, social media, etc.
* Experience supporting large Agency or Broker organizations is strongly preferred.
* Experience supporting Sales and Marketing organizations is a must.
* Superior leadership, business acumen, communications, and relationship management skills to ensure IT fulfillment of business demand.
* Ability to lead complex organizations through significant change.
* Strong service orientation,
* Leadership experience in a large, complex IT organization with sophisticated business processes and a wide array of systems, processes, and platforms.
