Nomad Editions, an exciting digital media startup, has an opportunity for someone interested in working at the intersection of mobile, content and technology. We are looking for a full-time Product Manager to lead and manage the key elements of our infrastructure that are critical to our future growth. These include the publishing systems – including our CMS, publishing tools, and App platform; our e-commerce / fulfillment systems; and our website.
Nomad has been in operation for over two years, has established itself as a leader in digital publishing, and is looking for someone to help take it to the next level. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of increasing responsibility in managing complex projects, familiarity with technology and new developments in digital media, and working with cross-functional teams. This person must have strong leadership, organization and planning skills.
The Product Manager will ensure that the technology infrastructure matches the Company's business needs. The Product Manager will work with all of the departments of the Company to understand their needs and assess, select and manage the necessary resources – primarily third-party technology partners – to meet those needs. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the editorial, production and design teams as well as the sales & marketing and operations departments.
Nomad publishes original, long-form lifestyle content with text, photos, audio and video exclusively in digital format: it has dedicated iPad Apps and is also accessible on any smart device – other tablet, smartphone, laptop and desktop. Its editions are published under its own proprietary brands, in conjunction with major content and community brands, both online and offline, and on behalf of major brand marketers seeking to establish closer ties with their customers by providing them high-quality, exclusive content.
